Installing the client components
To install Meridian on a client computer with the Windows Installer Package, see Controlling Windows Installer packages.
To install Meridian on a client computer:
- Begin the installation as described in Starting Meridian installation.
- On the Select Components page, select one of the following options depending on the required client components:
- LAN Client Setup. Choose this option to install all the client components including CAD application links.
- Meridian Web Client Setup. Choose this option to install only the viewer components necessary for use with Web Access. To configure Web Access to download the Meridian Web Client components for additional installations at a different location, see Customizing the Meridian Web Client download location.
Note Do not install the Meridian Web Client alone on a computer that already has a Meridian client installed that includes Meridian Web Client. This can lead to DLL version mismatches and incorrect functioning of the Meridian Web Client.
- Specify the destination for the selected program files. Usually the default folder is adequate. If you want to place most of Meridian’s files on a non-system partition, click Browse and type the desired path or select an existing folder. Click Next to continue. The Choose Computer page appears.
- Type the name of the Meridian application server or click Browse and select the computer. Click Next to continue.
- Complete installation as described in Finishing up installation.
